Discover the Secret to Crafting Benefit-Driven Copy that Actually Converts
Hey Code Breakers,
Welcome to this week's Code Breaker Newsletter. Here, we share the best insights, tips, and stories. Learn how to break the code on your market and unlock your business's potential.
How do you make your words pull in profits like a magnet? You tap into the hidden power of benefit-driven copywriting. Because when you do, you boost your marketing's impact. You ignite engagement and drive readers to act! And that's exactly what I'm going to share with you today.
Today, I’m going to show you exactly how to use the powerful Benefit, Benefit, Benefit framework.
But you may be wondering why you should care about this?
Well, it's because mastering this framework will transform your marketing efforts. When you master this framework, you increase your engagement, and drive more conversions.
Two things that every B2B sales consultant and NLP expert need. By focusing on outcomes rather than problems, you create strong, positive messages. And these will resonate with your audience.
The outcome? You'll get higher response rates and more loyal customers. And this can result in a big boost in profits. And who doesn't want that?
Unfortunately, despite the clear advantages, many people struggle to use this framework.
People Buy What They Want, and What They Want Are The Outcomes
So why don't people leverage benefit-driven copywriting? It's because they get too caught up in the features of their product or service. They forget what truly matters to their audience. It's the outcomes, the benefits. It's the real, tangible outcomes they get to experience.
Here are 5 other reasons why people struggle to get the most out of this framework:
Lack of Clarity: You're unclear about the specific benefits your product or service provides.
Fear of Overpromising: You worry about making claims that seem too good to be true.
Over Complication: You make your messages too complex, and lose your audience's interest.
Focus on Negatives: You focus too much on the pain and problems, and not enough on the positive outcomes.
Inconsistent Messaging: Your messages lack consistency, which dilutes the impact.
But don’t worry! I'm going to show you how to overcome all these problems and master the BBB framework.
Step 1: Identify Your Core Benefits
First, sit down and identify the core benefits of your product or service. What problems does it solve? How does it make your customers' lives easier or better? Take the time to understand the value that you bring to the table.
Why it’s important? Focusing on benefits rather than features makes your message more relatable and compelling. People don’t buy products. They buy better versions of themselves, their companies, or their situations.
For example, if you’re selling a time management, don’t just talk about its features. Instead, highlight benefits such as "Save 10 hours a week." Also, "Reduce stress and overwhelm." And "Achieve your goals faster."
Step 2: Lead With Your Most Impactful Benefit
When crafting your copy, start by leading with the most impactful benefit. This grabs your audience's attention and draws them in.
This is where many people go wrong here. They fail to turn features into benefits. And they end up with dry, uninspiring copy.
For example, don't say, "We help you organize your calendar." Instead, say, "Imagine having all your appointments organized seamlessly. Then, you'll never miss an important meeting again."
Step 3: Reinforce The Benefits With Supporting Points
Once you've hooked your audience with the main benefit, back it up with supporting points. Use testimonials, statistics, or examples. This shows how your offering has helped others. It builds credibility and strengthens your case.
Why it's crucial; Supporting points provide proof. They also reinforce the initial benefit, and make your message more persuasive.
For example, share a testimonial from a user who had success. You could share how they saved hours every week and felt more in control of their schedule.
Step 4: Close With A Call To Action Tied To The Benefit
Finally, end your copy with a clear call to action. It should tie back to the benefit you've emphasized. Make it easy for your audience to take the next step. It might be signing up for a demo, downloading a free resource, or making a purchase.
It's crucial that you end every piece of content with a call to action. This directs your audience to the next action, turning their interest into engagement.
Here's a quick example. “Download your free video today and experience the freedom of stress-free time management. Click here to get started!”
By following these steps, you’ll master the BBB framework. You'll create marketing messages that captivate your audience. You'll drive engagement. And you'll boost your conversions.
