How To Transform Your Opt-Ins To Raving Fans
Hey Code Breakers,
Welcome to this week's Code Breaker Newsletter. Here, we share the best insights, tips, and stories. Learn how to break the code on your market and unlock your business's potential.
Today, I want to share something really special. It’s an email sequence I dissected and models and have had great results with. I’m going to reveal how to craft a 7-Day Email Welcome Sequence.
But this isn’t just any old sequence. This sequence grabs attention and builds a strong connection with your new subscribers. It provides instant value! It's a total game-changer for B2B sales consultants or NLP experts. Especially if you aim to quickly build rapport and trust.
Imagine a system. A system that easily guides your subscribers from initial curiosity to raving fan. The benefits? Increased engagement, boosted conversions, and subscribers who eagerly anticipate your messages.
Unfortunately... some of you will ignore what I share here, and you’ll miss out on a huge opportunity.
99% of Welcome Sequences Are Boring
Let’s explore other common pitfalls:
1. Lack of Relevance: Failing to align the content with subscriber interests and needs.
2. Poor Timing + Little To No Value: Overloading subscribers too quickly or spacing communications too far apart. Alternatively, I know top producers who send 3-4 emails a day to their lists and maintain 90% open rates. It’s the quality of the content, not the frequency that determines the results.
3. Neglecting Subscriber Feedback: Ignoring insights from subscriber interactions, which can guide content optimization.
4. Weak Calls-to-Action: Not clearly directing subscribers on what to do next can stall the customer journey.
Fear not! I'm here to guide you through sidestepping these traps.
Here’s how, step by step:
Email 1: Send a Personal Welcome Email.
Kick off with a warm intro and outline your unique philosophy. For most of us, when an opt-in enters our world they know very little about us, or our area of expertise. Outlining the way you think about your particular area and sharing your unique philosophy is a great way to get them bought in.
Why is this crucial? It prepares subscribers for what's to come. It sets a baseline for your brand's value and character. Example: Share a brief anecdote demonstrating the impact of your approach.
Email 2: Deepen Engagement with Curated Resources.
Next, enhance their understanding by providing a list of handpicked resources. This can consist of a list of books, podcasts, case studies, tools, etc. I’ve personal got a few different resource pages I provide. You can find them below:
A common mistake? Merely listing items without explaining their relevance. Instead, detail how each resource can help them learn or improve. Help the reader bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Email 3: Interactive Content for Deeper Insight.
Add journaling prompts or a special journal. Ideally you want this to encourage reflection on your core topic.
What’s the benefit? This self-reflective activity cements the concepts they’ve learned. And it makes your teachings key to their daily thinking.
Email 4: Introduce a Thought-Provoking Phrase or Concept.
For instance, if your philosophy is about mindfulness, you might ask them to reflect. Ask them to reflect on the concept of "being present." This works because it challenges subscribers to use your teachings in daily life. This deepens their connection to your content.
If you’re a sales consultant, you might ask them to reflect on their sales process and if it covers specific areas you teach. This helps establish the value you provide and what they could experience while working with you.
Email 5: Guide Them Through a Specific Thinking Process.
Provide a detailed, step-by-step approach to adopting a mindset or technique.
Approach this as a way to help your customers think more effectively and something key to your field.
Common pitfalls here include vague instructions.Ensure clarity by outlining precise, actionable steps that lead to tangible outcomes.
Email 6: Propose a Practical Exercise.
Give them a task tailored to their needs. For example, a gap analysis for a business or a personal life assessment tool like the wheel of life. This is key.
It turns abstract ideas into real, personal experiences. This helps growth and engagement.
Email 7: Set Expectations and Offer a Bonus.
Finish the sequence by outlining what they can expect from your future messages. What’s the cadence they can expect to receive your emails. What time of day should they expect them. What will be included within those future emails. What will the focus be.
Sweeten the deal with a bonus tip or resource. It promises to make their upcoming time especially rewarding.
Why? This sets the stage for more interaction. It leaves them eager for more, having gotten a lot of value.
By doing following this sequence, you're not just informing your subscribers. You're making them into engaged, committed followers. You’re creating raving fans. And, you’ll have created a base of value and reciprocity for future ascension through your value ladder.
Each step is a strategic move to build a strong relationship with your subscribers. It makes sure they don't just understand your philosophy. They embrace and act on it.
Get ready to see your email engagement soar. Watch as your subscribers become your biggest fans.
Keep pursuing your success!
